  10. I am suprised that I've never seen anyone ask about this but what I'm
  11. looking for (I think) is a program or other solution that would intercept
  12. what I would guess are calls to amigaguide.library from programs that
  13. support the Help key.

  15. Amigaguide files are good candidates for compression.  (eg. 80k -> -> 26k)
  16. There are amigaguide replacements, such as "Showguide" which was recently
  17. posted to Aminet, which will read these files.

  19. However, if a program supports the help key, either in a context sensitive
  20. fashion or just calling up a help file, and the program is powerpacked (or
  21. otherwise compressed) you just get a screen of gibberish.

  23. I tried replacing amigaguide with Showguide, but nothing happened.  That's
  24. why I suppose it must have something to do with the amigaguide.library.

  26. Does anyone know of a way to do this?  Maybe the author of one of the
  27. amigaguide replacements could tackle this.
